Ashley will share verbal and nonverbal communication tools for connecting with tweens and teens. These tools encourage emotional intelligence. Ashley's brain-based approach helps families and educators inspire the best in their children. This is a free event for parents, educators, service providers, and mentors. Come and share your best practices with us.
Join us this summer for our next Kinship & Color event. Bring the whole family for an hour of creativity, connection, and community! No experience is necessary. Children as young as 5 are welcome. Families will elevate their stick figures drawing from their imaginations and real life.
Ashley introduces drawing as a cognitive tool for enriching families because research shows it is a high-speed feedback loop for communication. Through trial, error, and reinforcement, families strengthen their brain coordination and spatial reasoning. Drawing provides a variety of benefits to information processing, as well as increased experiences of joy and reward.
Light snacks and supplies will be provided.
Arrive earlier to find street parking. This is an in-person event.
